If you don’t already know, then I launched NodeCLI.com this Monday, October 5th, 2020. Unfortunately, I made a silly mistake. I’ve been feeling bad since then and wanted to share it here.
It’s the course intro video. You see I spent one week in scripting, recording, re-recording (3 times), making silly voice impressions, and producing an excellent funny little introductory video for my new course.
It’s something I’ve never done before in my life. And I was f**ing proud of myself. Sent y’all the email telling how good that intro video was, launched the course on twitter, the tweet went viral, and then 17,356 video views later it hit me. And it hit hard.
I had accidentally posted the wrong video on the NodeCLI.com homepage instead of the actual intro video — I’d worked so hard for.
My wife saw me almost having a mini-heart-attack as I realized what had just happened. The perfectionist in me had just died. I felt like my 10 months of effort, all of that went to waste. That by now, everyone would have watched the wrong video and thought:
… … … meh, what’s so good about this video, Awais.
Some good news is that it’s fixed. Now, I’ve put back the actual introductory video on NodeCLI.com — but if what I thought was true, then you probably didn’t watch the right video.
The one where I make silly voice impressions of a boss talking to their employees (a junior and a senior developer) that are all plush toys.
So, I’m relaunching my course. I hope this time you’ll watch the right video. You’ll know the amount of effort I put into making this 10 hours long 100-video course, probably the most extensive and practical course on the subject of Node.js Automation with CLI DevTools.
→ I’m also keeping the 50% off discount going for this relaunch.
The inner child in me tells me that y’all will watch the right video at least once. He’s definitely a polar opposite of all my cynical thoughts. But will you? Pretty please?! Here’s the link ↓

I can’t wait to see both your reactions to the video and the CLI Automation projects you’ll build after this course.
You know what would be awesome? If you could quote this tweet to share your reactions and automation projects with me and everyone else.
Cya!

Oh so bad. I’m glad you figured it out earlier since I loved your video. Excellent work, Awais. Bought the course and have already built my first CLI tool. You’re amazing.
