Ahmad Awais is an award-winning open-source engineering leader who has shaped developer tools used by millions worldwide. From contributing code flying on Mars to founding Command Code – a frontier coding agent that builds software and coding taste (with meta neuro-symbolic continuous learning prev f/k/a Langbase).
And yes, purple over any other color!

Started coding when web was young (and I was 9yrs old), mostly built with just tables and spacer GIFs. And no, I never used Comic Sans in a marquee tag though, I have standards. Now building the infrastructure that powers billions of AI agent runs. Funny how things work out.

Before founding Command Code and Langbase, Ahmad served as Vice President of DevTools & Developer Relations Engineering at RapidAPI (acquired by Nokia), where he led initiatives to democratize API development. Previously at WGA, he shaped WordPress enterprise solutions while making early angel investments in companies like Resend, Gumroad, and FinktankS.
