I was just trying to open a macOS app packaged by a third-party software company that doesn’t exist anymore and I was getting the following error:
SOLVED: You do not have permission to open the application “Mac.app”

codesign --force --deep --sign - /path/to/the/Mac.appI hope this helps someone.
