Microsoft just unveiled the all-new Microsoft Surface Hub 2. After watching the introductory my jaw-dropped multiple times, and it won’t get back in the place. It’s going be around ~$5,000 and launching in 2019.
๐ฎSeriously, the last time I fell in love with a product like this, Steve Jobs was still alive. And it was Apple (which seems to be struggling with how to make an escape key on a keyboard that doesn’t stop working for 25,000 people as soon as the warranty runs out. Apply are you listening?)

๐ฎ I am awestruck by the new Microsoft Surface Hub 2. The seamless switch between landscape and portrait orientations is just awe-inspiring and so useful. I don’t have a use for it, but I feel like I need one.
๐บMicrosoft’s new Surface Hub 2 is a mega-sized 50.5-inch Windows 10 tablet for modern conference rooms.
โฒIt launches in 2019, though Microsoft won’t say precisely when.
๐ Users will be able to switch it from portrait to landscape orientation, thanks to a hinge on the back. They’ll also be able to take a bunch of Surface Hubs 2s and turn them into one big screen. Microsoft is calling this tiling
.
๐ฐ Microsoft won’t yet divulge the device’s price but did say it will be comparable to Google’s competing Jamboard, which costs $5,000.
The original Surface Hub, which had an 83-inch screen, cost about $22,000.
๐น Most of the software will be optimized for Microsoft Teams, and far-field microphones and 4K cameras will allow you to make video calls in portrait mode that make it feel like youโre standing next to a colleague.

Just wow! I really appreciate that Microsoft withdrew from the search engine battle and invested in creating beautiful things like this. As a front-end developer, I too am excited to see how the web is going to change for such a big and graceful screen. Thanks for dragging me towards Surface Hub 2, thumbs up to your amazing write-up brother :)
